Referencing TOOLBAR Buttons (for Tuva staff)

- From the toolbar, choose Mean.
- From the toolbar, choose Median.
- From the toolbar, choose Percent of Cases to remove it.
Moveable Line on X-Y
- From the toolbar, choose Add moveable line on X-Y.
- Drag the line to position it to summarize the pattern of the data points.
Add Statistical Measures
- From the toolbar, select Least Squares Line by Category.
Reference Line on (X or Y)
- From the toolbar, choose Add Reference Line on [X].
- Drag the line to position it to mark a position on the [X] axis.
Annotations
- From the toolbar, choose Text.
- Type the label into the text bar, and drag the bar to the desired position in the graph.
Summary View
- Choose / Click on Summary View to open it.
- Click on Summary View to close it.
Swapping x- and y-axis
- Click on the

- Select Add New Function. From the drop-down menu, choose the exponential function a * bx.

Categorical
- Click on the color scale of <Diet> to color the data points by the categories.
- The data points will be colored by the categories of <Diet>.
- To color the data points by the different <Diet> categories, click on the color scale of <Diet>.
- To show <Diet> in the legend, click once on the attribute <Diet> on the left.
Numerical
- Click on / Select the color scale of <Weight> to color the data points by the range of values.

FILTER an Attribute

- Click on / Select the
icon for <Diet>.
Categorical
- At the top of the Filter Categories list, uncheck the top box to clear all of the checks.
- Recheck the box for San Francisco International Airport.
- Close the Attribute Settings Card by clicking the X in the upper right corner.
Numerical
- Under Filter Range, type in the minimum and maximum values for the desired range.
- Select the
icon next to <Year> and filter the “Max” range to 2006.

Open/Close the PLOT SETTINGS CARD
|
- From the toolbar, choose
to open the Plot Settings Card.
- In the Order Cases By dropdown, select <attribute>.
- Close the Plot Settings Card.

Create a NEW ATTRIBUTE
|
- At the bottom of the Attribute list, select ADD ATTRIBUTE.
- Give the new attribute a name. (For example, “Difference from Mean”).
- From the Formula menu, select Subtraction.
- From the Attribute menu, select “Annual Precipitation” to insert it into the formula.
- Make sure that there is a plus sign ( + ), with a space on each side of it, between each attribute in the formula.
- Click save and close the Add New Attribute Card.

View the SUMMARY TABLE
|
- Click / Select Summary View at the bottom of the
plotting area to show a table of statistical values. |
SAVE the Graph
|
- From the toolbar, select
to download a copy of the graph.
|
Drawing a single random sample
|
- From the toolbar, choose Sample Data to open the Sampling Card.
- Set Sample Size to 10.
- Set No. of Samples to 1.
- Under Sample Statistics, select Mean.
- Click Generate.
- In the SAMPLING CARD, name your sample as Festive_Sample 1.
- Set the Sample Size to 10.
- Set the Number of Samples to 1.
- From the toolbar, choose Count Cases.
- From the toolbar, choose Mean.
- Click on Generate.

Opening the Sampling Card

- From the toolbar, choose Sample Statistics to open the Sampling Card.
