Every student should access the same data set for this activity.
Give students time to interact with the data set.
On a sheet of paper, each student writes a question based on the data set. You can provide further instruction in this step as needed. You may want to have students write questions that can be answered directly from the data set. Alternatively, you may want them to write guiding questions for an inquiry activity.
Students stand and crumple their paper into a ball. They then throw their paper balls as if having a snowball fight. You can limit the number of throws they get or the amount of time for the snowball fight.
After the snowball fight, each student must pick up a paper ball. They then open the ball and answer the question.
Finish by having students share out the question they received and their response.
